My big bro killed this dude in Steamboat yesterday. This was his first kill with a bow. Just thought I'd share.

Very nice! What combo of bow/broadhead was he using?

He was using a Quest G5 Hammer and a Grim Reaper mechanical broad head. 30yd shot from tree stand. Hit about 6 inches above "armpit".

That is a very nice elk. No wonder he's got a big grin.

I hope he ships you some elk jerky. It is truly delicious.

Mmm, Mmm, mmmmm, mmmmmm tasty!!!

Tell him great work. Took an elk about that size 10 years ago with a rifle at 150yds. Now all the out of state hunters wipe all the nice ones out on the first day of the hunt (with guides). Haven't hunted elk in years. Mostly deer these days, for the meat. Can't eat the horns after all. heheheh

Now that's a first kill to be proud of. I'm hoping to get out on my first bow hunt this year.

That is a beautiful elk. Should taste delicious! I wish we had Elk here in the Northeast. That grim reaper is a deadly broadhead.
