Markm and I set up a target and tested three different loads shooting the same gun. Colt rifle lower, with 18' WOA barrel, Geissele SSA trigger, Zeiss Conquest scope.
We both shot the gun with three different loads. And we gave no consideration to letting the barrel cool. We shot at 200 yards.
1) 69 grain SMK's with Mark loading them.
He can report on the load data.
2) 75 grain TAP in 5.56 BTHP/WC T2*
3) 77 grain Remington Premier Match Matchking BTHP RM223R3

The WOA rifle has been shooting crazy good groups since IGunz pieced it together. Obviously, Marks hand loads outperformed the others in this instance. Interestingly, I have reported before, these are loads that Mark ran as fast as he could through the reloader. We were just looking for better than average groups by using a better bullet. But this 200 yard group is very good. Mark's group, as you can see from above, is great with one "Flyer". Probably due to fast reloading creating variances or difference brass..., or maybe Marked "wished" that one forward. Still a good group.
I think that TAP 5.56 runs hot and doesn't group well. And I have never been impressed with the 77grain Remingtons. Certainly a case for hand loading getting it done!
I was fortunate to not have the flyer, hence decent 200 yard group, see below.

I think next week, we might have to try these 69grainers with three different AR's and two shooters and post in the reloading section. Because this load is a winner.
