I'm glad to see this displayed in the NRA museum.
When we see old guns on display in museums, it's too easy to forget the man who carried that gun into harm's way.

Thank God the family of this hero, (and NRA member), got the gun back, and saw fit to donate it to the museum. I'm sure if Bloomberg had his way it would have been crushed and buried.

Very true. My collection contains quite a few old cop guns, (including a couple of ex partner's guns).
When I hold them, and shoot them, I often wish they could talk, share just where they've been, and the everyday bravery shown by the man who carried it.
