At first I liked the G2 a lot (it was a gift). But then suddenly the tailcap switch froze. I ordered a replacement and it came froze as well! Surefire may make some good stuff but I am not impressed with the QC on the G2 tailcap.

I've been using 4Sevens Quark 123*2 Tactical LED light since then and they have been brilliant, tough and reliable.

I have a couple of those. I really like 'em because I can hold the flashlight in my teeth, while working on aircraft. I can't do that with a Mag or any of the metal ones.

So, while I am generally not a huge fan of plastics, this is one case where the plastic makes sense.
