Anyone have any info on Elizabeth, Colorado?

I'm planning on relocating the family from California to Colorado in less than 5 years. We have family in Highlands Ranch & while we would like to be close to them (within 1/2 hour drive), we don't want a track home. We're looking for a chunk of property in the 5-10 acre range. According to my brother in law, one of the closest rural areas that's nice yet affordable is Elizabeth. We were there recently and spent a day driving down the country roads, talking with people, & seeing what's available. Both the wife & I were very pleased with what we saw & could see ourselves living there.

We also drove through Evergreen which seemed nice, but we liked Elizabeth more.

Anyone have any info about these places? Thanks.

...out to Kiowa and south along the road toward the Boy Scout camp. A slightly longer drive, but more rural and less citified. OTOH, you can't get pizza delivered at midnight when you have the munchies.
