A1 heatshield repair, missing pins

OK, I have a couple pairs of A1 handguards in decent shape. Both pairs are missing the pins, for lack of the proper term, that hold the heatshields on. One side is missing so many pins that the heatshield flops around and rattles. I am willing to cannibalize.

How does one replace the missing pins that hold the heatshields on the triangular A1 handguards?

Trash the handguards and buy new ones. It isn't worth your time.

The pins are glued in with some type of glue and rivets and I don't know where you get either one.

A1 handguards are cheap. Look on gunbroker.
