Do any of you run or have run either of the two X/S dot sites on your CQC carbines and if so did/do you like them. I am thinking of putting one on a gun that will purely be used for quick fire out to 50/100 yards. This will have a 4 MOA Aimpoint on it as well. This is a by the bed rifle 11.5" weapon and does not have to have super precise back up irons, just something quick and efficent. Any input on these sites would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Hootie

No, the only Big Dot I have on ANYTHING is an FN Tactical shotgun.

Man, you can really see the front post now!

I use the XS same plane rear aperture with the XS white stripe 0.080" wide front sight. The white stripe really helps the front sight stand out. I shoot much better with this setup than with standard A2 components. I also have the 0.100" wide white stripe front sight but I haven't tried it yet. Should be faster but a little less accurate.

IMO the big dot is pointless on a rifle/carbine. The white stripe or the tritium white stripe should be fine.

If you're using a fixed front the bigdot will most likely be extremely distracting through your optic.
