Had one - critical note there - quite some time ago with a Burris scout scope. The stock seemed to the weak link in the Savage: without any sort of stock liner or bedding chassis it would whip about in recoil to the extent that two rounds in rapid succession would bind the magazine. The sharp comb of the stock was another issue. You get a proper smack unless your cheek weld is perfect.
Accuracy was ok IIRC but the stock wasn't up to the promise of the system.
I'm waiting on scopes to "scout" up two Marlins, a .45-70 and a .30-30 (in conjunction with XS Sights rails and ghost ring sights).
Hope this helps.
