Aimpoint PRO vs Comp M3

I am about to order a PRO but just wanted to get a little info first. Is the basic difference between the PRO and the M3 just 3yr verses 5yr battery life? The only reason I'm having a second thought is that I found an M3 new for $475. The Pro comes with a mount that I probably won't be using, the M3 comes with the rubber cover. Both a wash in my book but since the M3 is usually $200 more than the PRO I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. If battery life is the only difference, I can by a bunch of batteries for the price difference.

If you're not opposed to buying it used you can find a used M2 or M3 + mount at the price of the pro...or less. I picked up a M2 off eBay (be careful) for $315.
