I have been buying parts for my next AR and I was looking at the Ergo Surestop Handstop. I have never run a Handstop or grip on my 20" A3, just the handguards, this AR will be a 16" Carbine HBAR, with the Troy MRF-CX 12" Railed Forend. I was wondering how people are running this handstop, how is it working, would you perfer a Magpul AFG?
Also if you have a carbine with a Troy MRF-CX on it please post some pics
It's so ugly.
Please search, there are a lot of threads about hand stops.
good luck!
I have it on mine and I like it. It's not the prettiest looking thing out there but I like it because it's curved, my pinkie fits inside and it feels like it's holding on to me. I have a magpul AFG too and didn't like it very much. My hands aren't big so it felt like I had my hand completely open holding it.
The AFG and handstops are two very different things to me. What may work well for one person could be a disaster for another.

Sounds like the best thing I can do is pickup a coulple differnet styles, and see what works.
