Theres tons of gun safe threads on this forum, and Ive read just about all of them. Reading these threads has helped me narrow it down to a certain safe that Im interested in.

I dont want this to be another thread about what gun safes everyone recommends. I want to know where to shop online for gun safes. And Im not talking about places that everyone knows about like Dicks Sporting Goods, Costco, or Cabellas. I want to know where one can buy a top of the line safe online and for a good price.

In reading some of the gun safe threads, I pulled a couple out a couple of websites that members mentioned that they bought safes from. But there wasnt much mention of how the shopping experience went and if they would buy from them again. Basically I want to know of a trust worthy place to buy a gun safe from online and not have to worry about shitty customer service or getting ripped off.

Maybe its just this one particular safe which Im looking for, that Im having problems finding a good price on locally... but after finding a good price for it online and then calling local safe stores for their price, it seems like safe shops are just like gun shops, where they charge a considerable amount more, compared to what you can find online.

Here are some websites I found listed in other threads, and I added one or two to get feedback on. If you have gotten a safe from one of these places, let us know how your shopping experience with them went. Or if you bought a safe from another online site and had a good experience with them, let us know about it.

Owner is retired LE, and a stand up guy. I bought one from him recently and he takes the time to explain all the different terms used by manufacturers. He gives you the straight poop on what works and what doesn't. Looks like they only deliver in Florida, but if you called, he'd still answer all your questions and give you great advice.

I don't own a gun safe yet but have been browsing.

This company appears to have some really nice safes and they guarantee to beat the competition. If you read alittle, they've furnished safes for gold companies, ATF, DOJ and the Smithsonian.

Neat website to look through.

I would recommend buying a FT Knox or a nice Browning safe. It is an investment but if you buy a big quality safe you will have it forever.

informative to my questions and concerns about which
safe would suit me and my modest budget.

Just my $0.02 worth. "

These people are great. I bought my Fort Knox Guardian 6637 with electronic lock from them back in 2001 for about $2200 delivered. It holds 15 rifles and has lots of shelving, weighs 975 lbs. and fire rated.

It was a lot like picking out a car, and they offered a 20% discount for law enforcement.

I understand the costs have likely doubled for that particular safe, but they carry numerous brands.

Good luck! "

"Over a year ago, I was just like the o.p., looking for an affordable safe, but still wanting a full-size, 30-min fireproof, solid safe. Something better than the cheapos you get at Walmart or Home Depot.

I finally stumbled across Diamondback safes. They are an excellent buy, excellent quality, and I couldn't be happier with mine. No, I have no connection to them, I just think they make great safes!

"I have a Summit Denali, and love it. I paid a bit more for it the others I looked at, but I am very happy with it. I want to get one like what I have, BUT BIGGER!

I recently bought a lower-end gun safe from Walmart.

Why?

They had the lowest price and 99 cent shipping, saving me 30% over similar local retail prices or combined discount price/shipping from online sources. They also shipped to my door, which was preferable than having to go to depot and crossload or haul home from a store.

Flame away, but consider this as an option.

+1

Bought my last safe from these guys and couldn't be happier with the overall experience. Great CS, delivered on the day they said it would be, delivery co. even put it in the garage when they showed up.

I will caveat this with one thing though, if it needs to be "pretty" this might not be the right choice, but their safes are VERY well built.
