Hey guys.

I was wondering if anyone makes a cantilevered light mount like the IW version, except with a rail clamp instead of the current through the slot attachment.

Just drill and tap your rail for it. Any machinist could knock it out quickly. It will be lighter than a rail attachment as well. You could still use the rail later on down the road.

They already do, go to their website. http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/tmc-1913-picatinny-light-mount-n-slot/

Go to their Facebook page, the just announced 1913 rail attachment production starts this coming Monday, it'll probably take a couple of weeks to get them to dealers, or directly at their website.

Sounds to me like the OP is wanting this mount, but able to attach to a rail instead of bolting to the hand guard.

If what you are looking for is described above, then IWC doesn't appear to produce it. The products I see linked above still bolt to the hand guard but they are for any picatinny accessory, instead of just rings for a flashlight. If you find what you are looking for, kindly let me know, as I am looking for something similar.

I just re-read it. The only content I missed is the facebook links, as I do not have an account there, and I did not create a "Summit" membership at IWC's website, because I have yet to see a product that I intend to purchase from them. I have since browsed the IWC website again and I still do not see a product as described in the quote I posted above.

If you could kindly post a link to the cantilevered flashlight ring which attaches to the rifle via 1913 rather than bolting to the hand guard, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

PS- I have already looked at this link from above, but it is different from the product that Quiet-Matt described because it still bolts to the hand guard. What am I missing here? Did the OP misunderstand Quiet-Matt when he posted "correct?" Is the OP looking for a product which mounts to a rail or does the OP want a "Mount-N-Slot" product that attaches directly to a hand guard? http://www.impactweaponscomponents.com/product/tmc-1913-picatinny-light-mount-n-slot/

What you're missing is on the facebook page... a couple weeks ago they announced they're about to start production on a mount that attaches to a rail. The other link isn't the product in question... as far as I know there isn't a webpage or photos to the rail-mounted version yet.

... because I have yet to see a product that I intend to purchase from them.

And I assume you meant this purely in a "I just haven't had a need yet" kind of way, versus a "they make junk" kind of way, right? :p Because I'd put in a plug that IWC's stuff is pretty darn good...

Oh Jesus tap-dancing Christ....

The only content I missed is...

...the part in post #10 where the guy from the company clearly stated...and I quote.... "available at www.mount-n-slot.com for pre-order in two weeks, with shipments in five weeks or so."

That was on 3 Oct.

It's 12 Oct, now.

Ergo we're still inside the two-week window...wherein they will not be on the website...that was quoted (in Ing-grish, by a representative of the manufacturer, if not the owner of the company, ffs...), and it was an insurmountable TWO posts above your own first keyboard diarrhea.

Get it? Can we stop, now?

Thank you for your respectful and helpful reply.

No, thank YOU for having enough disrespect to sharpshoot another member that tried to help you out, by not reading what you were told to read and what was clearly posted.

Additionally, thank you for thinking that playing "The Last Word" with members of the forum staff is a capital idea. Most capital!

Further, apologies for your newly-acquired infraction being so late to arrive at your doorstep.
