I'm sorry that this review is a bit late on this mount, but I finally finished my phase 1 of testing. This is a pre-production model and came with the so called "ugly/test" finish. To me, it looks right, especially when mounted on an AK.

I personally like the way this mount allows the individual to adjust the mount in order to center their optic on their specific AK. The AKM mount's construction is superb. No sharp edges can be found.
Phase one testing:
I mounted this mount with the Aimpoint ML3 on my 11 year old son's SGL-31 for this portion of testing. We zeroed the ML3 and decided to see if the zero would hold if dropped multiple times. After several drops, I checked if it was still zeroed. It was! :)
We shot the SGL in various positions (kneeling, prone, urban prone - left and right side, and supine). No problems acquiring the red dot were encountered.
Total rounds fired: 2160 of 7N6.

Overall, we all liked the RS-Regulate AKM mount for the Aimpoint. This mount allows the weight of the ML3 and mount to be positioned closer to the shooter's hand, thus preventing fatigue and keeps the front end lively.
The locking arm locks the mount very rigid to the SGLs' receiver rail, once properly adjusted (my 11 year old son was able to figure it out and adjust it).
This mount does add about 1/2" to the thickness of SGL-31. I personally don't mind it, but to others it may be a sticking point.
Phase 2 coming soon. :)
