I am wanting to put a mid length free flat rail on my carbine length gas system since the handguards are just barely too short for my armspan. The only catch is that I dont want to replace my A frame front sight. So I'm looking for one that wil go around my A frame. Anyone have any suggestions?

He wants the carbine cutout rail, not the mid-length cutout rail

Yes I want midlength free float rail with the cut out for the carbine length A frame front sight gas block. I'm in TX but am from AZ and have family there.

Ok. I was just thinking you could check out a few of the FSB rails in our area... to see what you liked best.

May be a bit pricey, but it's a nice rail.

They're actualy called Todd Jarrett. I mispelled them earlier. Here's a link

Made by YHM. Non-starter IMO. Typically what attracts people to them is the price, and for that reduced price you get a weaker mounting system, added weight, and excessive OD.

Oh ok. Any other suggestions or is Daniel Defense the way to go?

I assume that you want to keep the FSB. Otherwise I would say that you could cut and chop it down and then use a Centurion midlength rail and then add a flip front sight.

Or you will have to get a DD rail.

Does the centurion arms C-4 rail bolt on over the Delta Ring instead of removing it? Also do you have to remove that Handguard Cap behind the FSB?

You have to remove the delta ring and handguard cap for the Centurion rail.

Ok, and I'm assuming it would be the same for all the Daniel Defense Rails too
