is pmc x-tac 55gr as good as federal xm193f 55gr,i want to stock up on one of these.

I've shot both. PMC is much nicer looking ammo compared to XM193. PMC was also faster through the chrono. If it was me, I'd go for the PMC.

I've had no problems with the PMC X-TAC 62gr. ammo I bought a few months ago.

No experience with the 55gr PMC, but I'm almost done with a case of Federal XM193, and I haven't had any trouble with the ammo.

A really good deal at the moment is IMI M193, available at Widener's Reloading & Shooting Supply. They have 1200 round cases for $318.00, which is about $335 shipped. Palmetto State Armory also has PMC X-TAC 62gr (XM855) for $300 a case, I don't know if they have the 55gr in stock.

Remember, federal chronos theirs at 78ft. all the PMC 55gr data I've seen is chrono'd at the muzzle.

I'm done with Fed/AmEag XM193.
I get better precision and no change in function with PMC for much lower cost.
Have heard and seen good things with the X-Tac M855, but I hate banging it off of my steel.
I'm hoping the IMI M193 stands up well.

I think you will like it. Its personally my back up SHTF ammo loaded into mags (about 2k worth) for long term storage.

Now that pmc is offering an m193 clone, I may never buy federal xm193 ammo again. WAY too many stories of popped primers and QC issues.

I chrono'd both through my PACT chrono, at approximately 15'. The PMC was the equal of some genuine M193 I had. The Federal was slower, but of course that could change with ammo lots.

I've just started running this stuff in my BCM and it runs like a champ. But it really likes the M855 xtac.

The Federal M193 is the most accurate out of my S&W 15 Sport. But the PMC isn't off by very much. PMC works great in my AR. I've used PMC pistol ammo for years and it's always been good ammo and is often on sale.
