Looking to do an SPR, but kinda don't want to do 5.56....

7.62x39 would be very accessible, but not sure if I can get accuracy out of that round since there is so much surplus ammo. Is there "good...accurate" ammo?

if not 6.8 or 300BLKout...

Any guidance is appreciated.

GIGO- Garbage In Garbage Out. If the ammo isn't consistent, the rifle won't be accurate regardless of caliber. For best accuracy in this caliber, commercial ammo is probably your best bet and Lapua would be a good place to start- http://www.lapua.com/en/products/special-purpose/centerfire-rifle/19

I second the Hornady loads. My pops has had nothing but trouble with his 7.62x39 AR with Wolf ammo, malfunctions ever 100 rounds or so. However with the Hornady he hasn't had a single issue so far. We were thinking that perhaps the buildup of lacquer in the chamber from the Wolf was the main cause...

He's making hits on a paper plate at 200 yards, so I'd say the accuracy is acceptable.
