How many of you try to match the ballistic performance of your practice load to your duty load? It bothers me a little to practice with, say, M193, but carry Black Hills 75 grain OTM in my magazines. My sights are zeroed for the M193, so I lack some confidence in POI of the 75 grain. Hence, I'm looking at the Speer Gold Dot 55grain 5.56 load as a "duty" (home defence/deer/etc) load. How similarly will the Gold Dot match the M193 in terms of dope?

Thanks!

It always depends on the specific barrel. I see +2 and +4 MOA difference (vertical) with IMI M193 and a couple of other .223 pressure loads in two barrels. Something less with an 18" SPR barrel.

I zero and figure out my holds/come-ups with my precision/duty load and for 100 meters and less there has been no appreciable difference between it and pretty much everything else (about 2 MOA off).
