My experience with that type of locking turret (similar to the 1-4X) is that they get easier to use with use. Brand new they are a little stiff.

Also experienced the same thing with the 1-4X where on 1.1X the reticle is very thin. Even with my 3-12 on 3X the reticle was very thin (Gen 2 mildot). That is pretty normal with FFP optics where when you zoom in you are zooming in on both the image and reticle as opposed to SFP where you are zooming in on the image but the reticle stays the same size. With reticles with the ability to range the target FFP allows you to use the ranging feature at any magnification whereas SFP the magnification has to be on a specific power (usually 10 or 12X depending on the scope).

On the SB .de website they list the Mil-Dot CC and P3. The P3 would probably be a little bit better for picking up on lower power since the bars on each side are filled in rather than just outlined.

Scope does look like it will be a winner, though. Can't wait...

I remember reading a text version of the review on Sniper's Hide.

I would agree about the P3 reticle. Without the dot on low power the bold lines of the P3 may be easier to pick up.

That one is good, but I think this one is a bit better.
