Im getting an IWB mag pouch. I know they are not as comfortable as the owb, but I wear t-shirts 90% of the time IWB conceles much better, also the OWB carriers cause mags to sag out just enough to print for me.

So Im looking at a custom pouch from Dale Fricke, or one from Alabama Holster company (has a J-hook). Any suggestions on which to get?

I was planning on getting a double carrier but now Im thinking 2 singles might be the way to go.

Ive heard Fricke does great work, but any experience from AHC?

Im asking since I've never bought one before and dont want to spend $70 on something ya'll could have told me was a bad idea.;)

This is the alabama one Im looking at:

Can't see the first pic.
That little flap on the side of the Frick is what threw me off of several reputable holster makers IWB rigs, I can't stand that flap.

I carry AIWB at 1 o'clock in a Dale Frick ArchAngel, excellent holster btw.
I've never tried your options there, but what works well for me and rides at my 11 o'clock is this from Ready Tactical.

What I use is the regular, not ccw version, Left hand model to ride IWB.

Oh my God! almost exactly what I want, looked for hours and never saw that. the left handed version, IWB, does that put your bullets foreward or back? Or can it go either way with this pouch?

Bullets toward belt buckle. Glock mags will only fit one way.

Yea, trying to get 2 of them, but I want them IWB, bullets back, carried on the left side. I think I need the right handed one, but they only have 1.75" in stock, I need 1.5"... I asked which one I need, just waiting for an email back.

The product description doesnt say if its supposed to be worn IWB/OWB, or if they are bullets foreward or back, so I dont know which one...

Whats pictured is what I need, but kdcgrohl has me thinking thats the right handed one. :/

Are you sure you have to go with IWB? What brands of carriers have you tried already? Have you tried a Raven Concealment carrier yet? They are very slim and carry the mags pretty high. They are also highly convertible from OWB to IWB as well. What kind of belt are you wearing when you carry that can make a huge difference as far as how holsters and carriers tilt away from your body. If you want I can send you some pictures of mine on my bet because I have always wanted to get into tactical modeling.lol

Haha. Its not the tilt, I have a wild. tac belt. I wear t-shirts that are not very long and bringing my arms up exposes the mag holder. If its IWB you wont see it. The one above is what im lookin for, slim, simple, low cost. I may get something else or a double in the future, but these look good, great reviews, and cheap enough that if they dont work 100%, I can get a better idea on the upgrade and not lose much $ (im a poor college student).

I'll echo that SKD is GTG.
For reference, since their site doesn't describe the options very well, here is a SKD part # RDT.103-0004

I carry this on my left side, IWB, rounds pointing toward my belt buckle.

They're cheaper if you buy them from the maker.

If it's unlisted on SKD, it's because they're out at the moment.

You can click on the orange "WTF!?" link right by the item's option drop-down menus, and ask SKD to send an email notification when it's back in stock.

What you're looking for are indeed LEFT-handed carriers, as specified on the options menus; they are spec'd for carry on the right side, bullets to the belt buckle, so if you put them on your left hip, IWB, you'll have what you're after.

If you use 2, get 3 or more. They're a great design pretty tough, but I've worn out the belt loop on two of them through use over 3 years. I use 1 for EDC, presume use of at least 3 in classes so I have 4 in use at any given time and keep no less than two spares on hand. I'll refresh my spares if I have more break.

Only real difference between the Ready and the Kytex is that the Kytex aren't as smoothly finished, but either would do well for what you're after. If the Kytex are more available, I don't think you'd be doing yourself any harm getting those.

I have historically used the Ready Tactical, purchased from SKD, for all of my magazine carriage needs, from competition to daily carry to training. Great product from a great retailer.

However...

They are harder to conceal than I would like. At 6'1" 180 lbs and living in Florida, they print. There's just no two ways about it for me. I can either wear football jerseys daily or look for other options, and I tried IWB magazine carriage which, especially with the G19/17 magazines, just sucks.

Enter the Cane and Derby (http://www.caneandderby.com/catalog/product/view/id/444/s/pardus-low-profile-magazine-carrier/) pouch. Holds the magazine tightly enough to my body to totally negate the need for IWB. Less comfortable than the RT carried OWB, but exponentially more comfortable than even a bare magazine stuffed IWB.

YMMV and all that.
