I noticed this video on youtube and got a little laugh from it.

From his own description "just firing off a few rounds showing off a little military training. "

This is not to knock the guy but it always amazes me what people’s perception of "trained" or "training" is. Take a look. What do you see?

Not looking to bash this guy, just curios as to what you see, good and bad.

Poseur...

Out of uniform, add to that no rigger belt (guess he couldn't find that at the surplus store)

Just some kid, thats all. Pretty harmless though.

If you want a real laugh look up "risks inc" on youtube:rolleyes:

What training?Perhaps it was meant as a demonstration of a lack of training. No combat glide for starters and it just goes down from there. As far as the good points well, he is helping the economy with his purchase of equipment and waste of ammo that he will replace

That's pretty typical for a young Trooper..

Oh, I believe he's in.. The haircut.. probably a E-1- E-3 possible Reserve/Guard.
he just has no clue what he does not know.

and I believe he believes he has some pretty good training.. Abeit it's "basic" training. Showing off to his Buds who did not join...

Poor fighting stance..
chicken wing
bladed
No press check /Loaded chamber verification check
poor trigger manipulation (watch the barrel jerk to the left at each shot)
poor shooting on the move technique( Actually no technique.. just bee boppin)
no follow thru
no checking ejection port /closing dust-cover/check for Malfuctions
no situational awareness...

no clue

When your young and in for less then a year or two.. you think you know wayyyyy more then you do.. It took me about 21 years of service before I figured out what I did not know....;)

It looks like a National Guard shirt under the bladder pack. I'm not knocking the National Guard, but just looking at the shirt

Yeah, "flags" galore in their videos. I ran across their "tactical training" vids a couple months ago when searching for Saiga-12 vids. Based on what I've seen I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out about some "firearms training academy" closing down amidst a huge lawsuit over one of their students (or staff  ) taking a slug to the domepiece in the not too distant future.

The truly sad thing is that most of their vids have folks gabbing about how cool and shit hot those tools are.

ETA: My personal favorite is this one:

Notice that at 0:43 and 0:47 the cameraman is actually standing in FRONT OF the shooter directly in his line of fire.

How brave (or stupid) is that camera man. I love the rolls.
