This is my first time building an AR 15 and it has been a great experience. I've learned much more about the rifle by actually putting it together piece by piece. I'll be using the rifle for shooting hogs and running a few classes in Little Rock. Thanks for all the knowledge on the site it has helped me tremendously. Here is the parts list.

Rainier Arms Complete Lower-Zombie (Mega Machine Shop)
BAD Lever

Thanks for the responses.

I'm not sure what optic yet. I am torn between the Trijicon TA11 and the Nightforce NXS 1-4. Until I get one, I am just going to shoot the shit out of it.

How heavy is it?

Nice.

How heavy is it?

I am not sure. I am going to pick up a scale tonight. I will update with a weight ASAP. I took it out to the field and got it dirty a little bit. The rifle functioned flawlessly. :)

We have a very similar build. I had mounted a BAD lever, but it rubs on the lower receiver and does not allow the bolt to be securely locked to the rear. I think it's due to a probable stacking of tolerances based on the components I used.

Good looking build sir.

Good taste, sir. That build is almost exactly what I'm building right now.

Why did you choose the parts you did for this build?

What experiences do you have with the platform that lead to the decisions to use said part?

Very nice. Go with the NF 1-4.....you will not regret it.

Very well done. I think you've just helped me decide between building and buying my first AR.
