I can find Mossberg replacement Rem 870 18" 12 gauge 3" magum barrel for $ 105.00-$110.00 or should I go with Remington barrel?

Mossberg makes a fine 18.5" 870 barrel. From my hands on with one of their barrels, I felt it was made even a little better then a factory Remington barrel.
There's one in my family.
Fits the 870 fine, functions fine. The bore is not as smooth/polished as a factory Remington, but that's the only drawback I know of.
I got one from Remington.

I picked one up for my 870 last year a 18.5"inch cylinder bore for $70.00 at Dicks Sporting Goods. Nothing but good results so far and #1 Buck patterns great out of it.
I run a Mossberg cantilever barrel with my 870. It works great and similar to what someone else said, it might even be higher quality than the factory barrels.
I got a Mossberg 870 barrel with three screw in chokes. My Wingmaster had a cut-down 18 inch barrel for HD but I wanted to fiddle around with clay birds once a year.
Bottom line: Mossy 870 bbl fits fine, works groovy.
I went with the 18" Breacher barrel made by Mossberg for my duty 870.
