I am in the midst of building an SBR and am still contemplating a few things. This is going to be my go to gun for right now.

The upper is going to be a Spikes Tactical LE 10.5 with Magpul MOE handguards. the light mount will be an IWC mount-n-slot. Unfortunately I cant buy from them as they dont ship to Canada. Only place I found that carries them is mounting solutions plus and they only carry the IWC TMC, so Im going with it.

With that said, which light should I go with. SF M600C or M300A?

The retail price of the M600C is more but on Ebay the prices are very similar. So if price is of no factor, which one and why?

Can't go wrong w/ either, it comes down to whether you value 90 extra lumens w/ the 600c or the much more reduced size and profile of the 300a.

Personally on my 10.5" I went w/ the m300a and am very happy with my choice. I feel that the 110 lumens is more than enough for my needs on a SBR, really like the overall size of it, and appreciate the single battery design vs. the dual battery design of the 600c.

As I said above, both are great WLs, just gotta decide whats more important to you...lumen output, or overall size.

Thanks for your reply.

How far will your M300A reach out?

One thing that bugs me is it only lasts around 1.3 hours.

I find that my 600s will still provide sufficient illumination even after having a few hundred rounds blacken the lenses.
The form factor of the 300 is very attractive though, especially on a "diet" gun.
