That is one beautiful 1911! The old war horses are Imho the best looking 1911's out there. How does she shoot?

Very nice indeed. Im also very fond of the rugged looks of GI 1911s. I own a Springfield GI but hope to someday add an authentic colt to the collection.

In a day when we seem to be overrun with folks claiming war records and decorations that they never actually earned, it is especially refreshing to read about The Real Deal. It strikes me as altogether fitting that, even as this warrior rests at Arlington, his old Colt has entered another century of service -- this time, as a reminder of a great man and his deeds.

Respect.

A blue-blood that would be scorned by many of the entitlement generation, despite his heroic service to his country, and his generosity to his community and Alma Mater.

His pistol is in good hands.

Thanks John.

Very beautiful.

I feel blessed in that I once got to touch a nice Colt A1 at a gun show, it was something like that one.
