View Full Version : Ameriglo I-dot pro problem (w/pic)
Hi everyone, i hope some of you can tell me whether or not this is normal. I just installed an I-dot pro set on my G17 RTF, but upon close inspection, the rear tritium vial seems to be off-center. Quick caliper measurements seem to show that its about 1/100 of an inch deviated to the right. You can kind of see it in this picture, but its a lot more obvious when going from aiming with the tritium in pitch black, to a bright sight picture.
If I aim with the sight silhouette, the sight picture from the vials is off and vice versa.
Any suggestions? comments? Could I just be overreacting?
Thanks.

If this a major issue to you, contact Ameriglo's customers service on Monday.
They have always been very helpful in assisting us. To be honest, it would bug me too.
Back some years ago I was sure I needed narrower front sights with my aging eyes (before I went to monovision contacts) and ordered from Trijicon a narrower than .125 tritium front for a Glock and 1911. The Glock sight went on a 17L and it was just slightly off center also and like t drove me crazy. I never contacted Trijicon just because talking the great Cust Service guy into taking this order was all my doing and I figured I owned it.
I don't have enough experience with shooting in low light with tritium only to say if the variance is likely to create an accuracy problem, but I would lean to doubting that.
But Ameriglo is great for CS and they seem eager to make sure every customer is thrilled.
My experience with Ameriglo customer service has been excellent. They are very customer oriented and will take care of your concerns. A+++++ company.
Agreed with everyone on Ameriglo customer service. I was having trouble with my FNX-9 shooting low (more like me shooting it low) and they offered to send me a different height rear sight when I contacted them on it, no questions asked.
Thanks for the advice guys, I will definitely contact ameriglo monday. Hope its not too much of an issue that its already been mounted on :o.k

I had literally the same exact issue with the same exact pair of sights. I returned them (all marred and everything) and upon my request they sent me a free pair of the ameriglo Hackathorns which I promptly installed on my Glock 26.
Great great company. Their return policy is pretty much the best in the industry. I switched over to Hackathorns anyway and couldn't be happier.
I just contacted Ameriglo, and they say they will send me a replacement. Sounds like great customer service on their part.
