I'm getting an LMT rifle and am in the process of kitting it up. I've had good (and only) experience with the Harris bipod but I know there are several other options on the market. Does anyone have any strong opinion on an alternative bipod I should be considering? I'm not a "professional" just someone who enjoys shooting and want to buy quality. Thanks in advance.

Atlas V8. Its far better constructed and has more features. The harris is much larger in size and has not really been updated in a decade. They are serviceable but the Atlas is where its at.

Harris for cheap, Atlas v8 for the absolutely best!

Tango Down. Very light weight!

While the Tango Down may be light weight they suck as a bipod for field use. I hate mine and would trade them it in a second for a Harris. Only thing its good for is to keep the rifle from falling over.

Just cant see spending the money for the Atlas.
