I have been thinking about the USP9c for some time now. I have owned a USP 40 in the past, and it was too big, but I have never owned/shot a USP compact. These pistols are pretty rare in my neck of the woods, none to molest that I have found. The only one that I have seen was at a gun show and it was tied down to the table/locked out so I couldn't do any manipulations to see how it felt.

Looking at the specifications it seems to be just slightly longer than a G26 with the extended magazine in place.

I own a G26 and I prefer to shoot and carry it with the extended magazine.

So who has owned and/or shot both and could give me some feedback?

I carry a USPc 9mm stainless the G26 was just too small and i did not like the feel of it. The HK P2000 9mm is a nice choice. The grip is similar to my other carry a HK45c. I just bought anothe USPc 9 in black a couple day's ago.

The USPc and G26 aren't exactly in the same category size-wise. A better comparison would be a USPc/P2000/P30 vs G19 or a P2000SK vs G26.

I have owned and carried both. I agree with F-Trooper as to the size comparison.
Out of the two you mention, I would pick the HK.
Nowadays, I carry a G17 24/7.

I have a USP/c .40. It's similar in size to a Glock 19. Great gun. Zero failures in 13 years and many thousands of rounds.
