So, I know they are simple as dirt to install, but for the life of me I can't get it to roll over and "snap" on to the other side of the frame pin. Giving it all my might.

Any chance this is due to the RTF frame? or should I just send it back?

I had difficulty installing mine also. I finally had to clamp it in a vise using rubber vise jaws. I gently clamped the gun between the front of the trigger guard and the tip of the grip force adapter's "beavertail." I was then able to "snap" the grip force adapter over the pin.

Mine was not an RTF frame, but I do not think the RTF frame is the issue. I just think they are more difficult to install than the company and instructions lead you to believe. Its not a bad thing though.

I have installed several on RTF frames and some of them can be a real b1tch to get on.

I had no issues with my RTF2 G17

Did a little recontouring of the interior ribs of the GFR using a pocket knife and some sandpaper, finally got it mounted on. Works great!

If installing a GFA on an RTF2 you really need to wear your man pants, but it is possible.

I originally tried installing mine with the slide off the frame, with no luck. Once I put the slide back on the frame, it seemed like I had additional leverage to get it on, for what it's worth.

If you put the GFA in the right place, and hold it to the rear of a frame, hold the pistol muzzle up, with the GFA braced against the gun, and a table.

A firm, but not hard slam will get it in place.

Worked for me.

I have to get to the range to check it out but I like it so far. Makes my 17 point a lot more like my 19, for bigger hands, if that makes any sense...
