Heres my deer from Sat. I missed a nice PY 8 point and was waiting to check my arrow when this walked to 17 yards of my stand.

Cool vids, I stuck one in a doe a few weeks ago. Have not had another shot since. Not many days left here either sat gun opens.

I like the vids, Myself and a friend were trying to tape one last year. Every time the camera would turn on it would spook them because it would whrrrrr a little bit at the start.

Nice videos. I am not a bowhunter myself, but my nine year old has been bugging me to get him a bow so I may just end up getting us both one.

You should! Archery is a great discipline for youth to get involved in. Just as with shooting, it helps them build character.

Bowhunting however is one of the few ways that still require you to put the work in and be proficient in the animal you are hunting in order to be successful.

The rush experienced after the first archery kill is indescribable. As you can see by my friend's reaction when he got his first... it's pretty intense. It took him a couple days to get back to normal. ;)

Crossbow guy! While the bow might be horizontal instead of vertical my tactics are the same.

Bow & gun hunter making the transition to crossbow & gun.
My old Bear Whitetail II was overdue for an honorable retitement , so a good crossbow seemed to make sense . Of course , I got one with an M4 style telescoping buttstock for the adjustablity factor.
I also respect the people whom I have known to take a good many deer ( and other animals with very traditional wood stick bows & no sights.

I'll echo the concept of archery building the youngster's character . It's also a great hobby and often opens up hunting opportunities that are surprisingly close to home.

Nice Vids! I've been bow hunting here in Utah since I was 14 :dance3: The bow hunting here is a little different than back east, but I would love to give whitetails a try. I've taken some nice Mule Deer bucks with my bow, an elk, and most recently an antelope. Antelope are incredibly fun to hunt with a bow! I'll try and post some pics.

Yeah... and challenging! I killed two pronghorn this year. Buck at 50+yds and a doe at 65yds.

Ya very challenging! Here is the antelope I killed with my bow recently. The time stamp on the camera isn't correct. Hopefully I can get another pronghorn permit next season!

Nice bow goat!

Thanks! I stalked to within 45 yards and drilled it :-) I had a couple other really close calls with even bigger bucks, but couldn't get a shot.
