We got our first factory M&P15 .300Whisper/.300 AAC Blackout in camo yesterday, should have a S&W upper in .300BLK today. It's awesome to see the market building things in this caliber!

From what I can tell a lot of the 6.8 lovers seem to hate in it......guess they're disappointed their 6.8 didn't take off so well and will soon be surpassed.

It's like .270Win vs. .30-06, Ford vs. Chevy, Beta vs. VHS, Mac vs. PC.....

They're both good but ones a bit more common.

I shot one of the S&W yesterday. It cycled subsonic unsuppressed fine. It cycled supersonic fine.

Do you mind sharing your selling price for the uppers?

When you receive the upper, can you take some pictures of the rail system? I've never seen it before...

EDIT: Never mind. It appears that S&W is now using UTG rail systems.

I don't know what the uppers will sale for, we haven't received on yet. The camo whole rifle is $1020

These also feature the melonited barrels like on the S&W M&P15 Sport.

Very well put. I like the round but for someone who doesn't reload, I can see it being expensive. At least for the time being.

I recently had the chance to swing into VA Arms and get a look at the S&W upper. The complete rifle had already sold.

The upper appears to be of pretty good quality but I was disappointed that it comes with a semi-auto bolt carrier. That's easy enough to change and really shouldn't be too big an issue with most users.

Anyway, the staff was friendly and helpful and the store was very nice with a good selection of firearms and ammo. If you're in the area I think it's worth the trip.
