Do you think that having the inside of the upper receiver finished in nickel boron to reduce cam pin/BCG wear will be worth the $75 maybe closer to $90 with shipping?
Looks like a standard upper has a Rockwell hardness of ~60
NIB upper will have a Rockwell hardness of ~70
Not sure if that is a huge gain because I don't know much about the Rockwell hardness scale.
What do you all think?

I dont think its worth it.
I dont have the experience that most people have here, but I think they will have the same opinion.
Its sort of a matter of "If it aint broke, dont fix it" again.
Is there an issue with standard uppers and the wear on them?

Can I ask where you're sending? My buddy has been debating this for his replacement BCG. We have been discussing this on our local board and most say it's not worth the extra cash if you are tight on funds, but if you have the money to spend why not. It never hurts to try something one then you will know down the road if it's worth the investment for future builds.
Here's some links too I found of interest:

I'm mostly just curious but the $75 quote was from WMD Guns.
Just out of curiousity, and to help maybe answer the question, is there any downside to doing it?
