Could someone explain to me, what exactly it is about dubstep that they like? The stuff has no rythym, no melody, I just don't get it.

HAHAHAH thanks for that it's awesome.
Dubstep is nothing new man. It's just cut up techno and some goofy sounds. It's just mixing the old stuff with a touch of weird new. It's "different":haha: It's going to appeal to the young generation that thinks they created something amazing. And it appeals to those who like things like house/trance/techno.

yeah a lot of people in the hardcore scene started cutting sound affects into their music too. It's kinda funny at times. Here's a good one with a funny clip in it.

I remember when that came out. It was an internet joke for a few weeks.
Didn't realize the screamer was a girl. Crazy.

There's plenty of rhythm and melody...it's just not what you're used to.

That girl has an amazing voice. She can do anything with it.

I like dub because it is different from a lot of the older techno, progressive house, and jungle. The song that got me back into the electronic music genre again was a track from this video. Never mind the cool jets doing low passes :D

ETA: One of the best times I ever had was watching a F/A-18 doing a 50 foot low pass over KPRC while I was at the hold short line on 3R while waiting to take off. I think he was doing about 350 knots or something like that when he passed right in front of me.
Dubstep makes me want to cut off my ears. "Let's take, d'n'b, cut out all the d, add some bleeps and bloops and spill a can of soda on the sampler then sell it to DJ's who can't actually spin records but want meth'd out groupie pussy."
This always makes me chuckle though:

I like house, trance, and techno, but can't stand dubstep. Of course I like all kinds of other music too. But to me, dubstep sounds like someone with schizophrenia got ahold of a decent tune and a computer and just hacked away at the tune.

Sonny Moore is a cocksucker.
Anybody who remembers the band From First To Last will agree with me.
I hella wanted to like Skrillex, but I just can't. Not. That. ****ing. Guy.
