I'm looking at picking up a rail system for my step-dad's old school Mini-14. He eventually wants to mount a micro aimpoint. So far I have found two types, the Amega rails and the Ultimak rails.
The Amega rails look nicer but slightly taller, which appears to making cowitnessing of iron sights impossible. The Ultimak rails look like they can allow cowitness, but its hard for me to tell without actually using these things.
Anyone here have experience with these systems?
