I think we need to convince the American people that suppressers are good for the environment and will help stop global warming. Not only would the restrictions go away but we would probably get a subsidy.

Not sure about NZ but I have friends in EU. For the most part, if you can own the gun you can suppress it. They are less anal about suppressors and fireworks (and alcohol, and sex) than we are.
