Anybody have any experience with the Universal Wire Loop sling mount? From the video, seems like a simple way to mount a 2-point sling, but I cannot understand how it is going to be strong enough to stay locked in place...

I'm in need of a side sling mount to accept 2-point slings on standard M4 handguards. I do not want to buy a rail system or MOE handguard for this rifle.

They only LOOK delicate, and are a very legitimate option in instances where rail-mounted solutions are impossible to use, or simply unwanted.

I have used them on several weapon systems with no issues at all. I even have one on an AK that got so hot the plastic cover melted to the barrel leaving the metal wire exposed. That was 3 years ago and it's still going strong.

If going overseas, I would carry two of these, a TD PR-4 and a VCAS sling. That way no matter what I got handed, I could rig up an acceptable sling.

2nd Marine Division got thousands of them, they work and get around the lack of a proper sling mount. The one issued gets tore up bad by the HK clip being quite a bit harder than the Al adapter.

Good kit.

I used one for over a year on a AR piston. Even with the added heat normally found in piston AR's I had no issues with this kit.

Well made and works as intended.

I have one on my M14 with my vtac. It's a great piece of equipment.
