Ok so I thought I was getting a heck of a deal on 100 85gr TSX's. It turned out picking up a box without putting on the reading glasses is a bad idea.

I was going to start loading these tonight:

When I saw they were RRLPs and not TSXs. With my searches and Zhukov's posts I found they are fragmenting instead of expanding rounds.

Do these have a specific use? (I'm assuming CQB?) Would they make decent home defense loads or should I just use them as pricey range rounds?

Good for training on steel...

Seems to do better than the 85 gr TSX on everything but glass and steel. I use this as my home defense round with the understanding it can still create a very nasty would channel even after going through drywall.

I have the 5.56 as my HD round.

Doc, wouldn't this make a good home defense/CQB round?

Okay, let me rephrase. Why wouldn't this make a good home defense round?
