I visited the Kershaw Factory for their annual factory warehouse sale Saturday. It is also the home of Zero Tolerance knives and Shun cutlery.

The factory floor is cordoned off and visitors can walk through to look at and purchase thousands of knives and accessories made by the three brands.

It think all the ZT knives sold out Friday but there was so much stuff I may have just overlooked them.

I ended up bringing home three Kershaw Ken Onion Blurs, a Kershaw Volt II, a Kershaw Clash, A Kershaw Groove and a Kershaw Compound.
I paid $160 out the door for everything. Not a bad sale:dance3:

If you are not offended, do you mind me asking what you paid for one of the Blur's?

And you got a nice haul there. You thinking about going back next year for a Shun?

Spyderco did not have a factory seconds sale this year, from what I hear.

The Blur's were $34 each. I just looked up the model number 1670TBLK. It appears they may be old stock with the 440C SS blades. I think you said that steel was preferable to the newer Swedish Sandvik stainless steel versions.

Yeah, I would have like to have picked up some Shun kitchen knives but even with the heavy discount those knives aren't cheap. The smallest kitchen knives were running about $55-60 with the larger ones that I was interested in going for $80 or more. Im sure they are worth it I just didn't bring that much cash. Maybe next year.

Good score, I love the Blur's I EDC one. They retail for $60 locally.

Thanks for the info. That's quite a good deal on the Blur's, then.

One of the Blur's I have has the 440C, and they did a very good job on the heat treat, I think. The edge-holding is very good for that particular steel.

And next year, I hope you do score some Shun's, they would serve you well.

There is a guy in the EE here that was also at the sale, and is selling a lot of what he bought.
