Just put the finishing touches on my 590A1:

- Mesa Tactical LEO stock adapter

- Magpul MIAD grip

- Choate +2 extension: had an issue w/ extension from vendor and Choate took care of it with no problem. Great Choate CS, they have a customer for life
The extension sits perfectly flush with the 18.5" barrel

- EGW rail: Top quality fit and finish. Didn't like the extended rail overhang so I chopped it off

- Finally topped it off with a Aimpoint Micro-R1. Instead of hitting it with a rattle can paint job I wrapped the optic in matte black vinyl

Nice. How do you feel about having the pistol grip with the safety on the top? You gonna leave the safety off the whole time or just work around the grip/safety issue?

I'd be curious what the issue you had was. I have a Choate extension for a Remington 870 that I'm having issues with. Mine won't thread all the way on and gets really though to turn. I thought maybe it was a Mossberg model despite the package stating otherwise.

The Choate extension I ordered from a vendor was 1/4" too short, it didn't sit flush with the end of the barrel. I spoke with Glinda at Choate and she swapped it out no problem. Excellent customer service.

I've also heard of people unable to thread on the extensions. I think it had to do with the year of shotgun manufacture.

Regarding the top safety issue, I'm just going to leave it off safe.
