Just saw this price at the local sportsmans warehouse and thought that a few of you would like to know. Their normal price was $249, they said they are discontinuing them so i dont know how long they will last.

There are no Surefire Weapon Lights listed on their site, so, Im willing to guess that this is a local sale for the OP.

I saw them at one of our local Sportsmans Warehouse stores here in Utah for $185. Not quite as good as $159, but still better than normal

We don't have one in Dallas anymore. Sad. I want one. LOL

They closed ours in RR/Austin, too.

Good price on the light, though.

Sportsman's Warehouse opened a store in Billings, stocked the place, hired staff, and promptly closed the doors within a year. That was a couple of years ago and the store is still sitting vacant. Probably didn't help that Cabela's also opened a store about the same time.

There have to be a few management types with Sportsman's Warehouse on their resume pounding the pavement because it seems they have made some extremely poor marketing decisions.

I liked the products they sold, stuff like Filson and Carhart but their prices were a little high on things and Cabelas has the market when it comes to your experience in the store. Half my trips to Cabelas are showing my kids the animals all over the place and playing the laser shooting games. If Im going to make the drive it'll be where my family has a good time, too, at the same price or cheaper than SW.

Otherwise I can order stuff online, not pay sales tax, and have it in under a week with a 'higher' satisfaction rating on my part as well as better selection from online retailers.

Back to the x300 though, are they normally extremely tight on the rail. I'm installing it on a Noveske and I almost need to hammer it on.

The $159.00 is a really good price. And yes they are tight locked on a rail. Mine seem to be much tighter/stiffer to take off a rail than my Streamlight TLR-1.

I believe they meant that Sportsman's was discontinuing them... Its about time for surefire to come out with a new one though isn't it

Maybe they will have something new at SHOT next month. I would think that something would have leaked out by now though.

Ive read in some other threads here where members mentioned some sort of surefire x300 compact/slim coming out, IIRC.

Similar to a streamlight tlr3 possibly, to fit shoter rails like the s&w m&p 9c.

If they are coming out with the compact I wonder if it will drop the x300 price everywhere

Do you have the rail latch or the U/P latch.

Mine was like that too. It was a PITA to change batteries. I changed to other lights. I used a hammer wnd a block of softwood to tap it off.

They closed ours in Las Vegas, then about 6 months ago put a huge sign on the building saying "Were coming back"

6 months later all we have is a 6month old sign..

Nice, everyone is dumping them before they get the latest X300 that was revealed at SHOT.
