16" BCM Mid length upper
Giselle SSA Trigger
3-9x or lower power optic
AAC M4 2000

The max distance at my local range is 300 yards. This is more of "do something with a bunch of random extra parts" build. And I wanted something, smaller, lighter, and more practical than the heavy 20" SS bull barrel with a PRS stock build I have.

The stamp for my M4 2000 should hopefully be here any time now.
I've never shot with a can out past 50 yards.

I understand there will be some shift with your zeros concerning POI between suppressed and unsuppressed. I know that some here have reported everything from 1.5" to 3" or something like that. I understand that I would just have to know my holdovers/adjustments for both at range. Not really a problem.

But as I move the can back and forth between my 11.5" gun and the above 16" middy can I at least expect consistency or am I going to have to get a new suppressed zero every time I mount the can with the mid length?

-Thanks.

Each gun with the same can will repeat, but each gun's shift will be different.

So, put can on 16", shoot. take can off, shoot it on the 11, etc... re-mount on the 16 and shoot, the 16's suppressed zero will be the same as it was before.

At 50 yards I would be surprised if you noticed much POI shift at all. Farther out it will be more noticeable, but your suppressed zero shouldnt shift by taking the can on and off repeatedly. Test it to verify.

If you use the search button you will see where I did some testing with various set ups, using different ammunition with my AAC M4-2000. I fired it at 50 yards (IIRC). The shift was for the most part not an issue and you would still be able to easily hit a person in the vital zone.

If I was a NavySEALArmyRangerSFDeltaCommando making headshots at 500M and rescuing kidnapped civilians, it would probably be a big deal.

Moltke, when I was shooting suppressed at the 50 it was on a steel target do I really wasn't measuring group sizes. All I knew was that it was going "ding!" a lot.

Nope not some navy seal commando lol.

I did use the search, but only got a couple indirect comments from other questions asked in a couple various threads.
After you made your post above I was able to find this but it the thread was called "Vltor A5 Stock and SBR"
Maybe that's why I didn't pick it up under all my other searches. But thanks for the redirect!

As stated... you'll get repeatable results.

But depending on your set up, you may see a significant change in POI, even at 50.

I have a 14.5 that yields almost no change... less than 1 MOA. And I have another that drops like 4-5" at 50. You'll just have to play with the barrels and see.
