Geissele Automatics!
EGW
Yes. Geissele is 3 miles from me. I was shocked when I first noticed that on their website. It is in an old school house that I drove by several times a week and never noticed.
Also, in Pa, a mile from me is Streamlight.

Off the top of my head, without doing a search;
Superior Arms, Les Baer and Brownells.
Based on Les Baer's reasoning for moving from Illinois to Iowa, I am secretly saving up money to buy on of his 1911's.

For Oregon you forgot................
Leatherman (they are off airport way just across 122nd from Danner Boots)
Back in the 90's you could get scratched and factory 2nd's from leatherman for 1/4 the price of new!! but i THINK they don't sell to the public anymore.
(unlike Danner Boots where i just got 2 pairs of hiking Danners for $30 each!! retail $109 each)

My grandfather's both moved here from IA and AR to work for Bell helicopter and Convair which then became General Dynamics and Lockeed Martin is also a player here as well as Rathheon Co.

Benchmade was also left out of the Oregon list. (Or I missed it)
Someone already said Surefire for CA.
I think the original Armalite used to be here too.
The only other relevant company I can think of is Triple Aught Design (TAD), makers of Gucci-tactical and other outdoorsy shit. I don't know much else about them, but they're literally up the road from me.

I must confess that the first time I ever hear of TAD was on some funny blog post disparaging the "bad" kind of fanboys. I think I must have seen that at Death Valley Mag.
I had seen them before, but had no idea what they were called or that the gucci types hijacked them.

That's what I heard, lol.
I do want to check out the storefront. I won't lie, they got some cool looking jackets. I just like making fun of the fanbois. :p
Jack Daniels

Thunder Beast Arms is in Cheyenne but close enough.
Bighorn Arms makes some of the best bolt actions on the market.
There's more but I can't think of them right now.

Here's an article on a Montana woodworker who crafts custom rifle and shotgun stocks up around the Flathead Lake area (northwestern Montana): http://billingsgazette.com/business/features/gun-owners-pay-top-dollar-for-polson-woodworker-s-custom/article_5cde650e-eed3-5417-9e81-88e408345c3d.html
Here's a link to the guy's website: http://www.mtcustomguns.com/
And, of course, Cooper Firearms makes some absolutely beautiful custom firearms: http://www.cooperfirearms.com/
And if you're looking for some hard hitting ammo, there's Buffalo Bore Ammunition: http://www.buffalobore.com/
Montana folks tend to like their guns.
