Not all that tactical, but it is black :) Been trying to find something to carry the mags with me to the range that isnt too big that they bounce around in. Spent the day driving all over looking at gun, surplus, luggage etc shops. With the larger size of the mags, to say its a bear is an understatement. When I was putting up the 3 mags that I took with me for sizing, I noticed the $5 WallyWorld lunch carrier and gave it a shot for the heck of it. Whatcha know, 10 mags fit with minimal free space.

Has pockets to hold the range cleaning kit, glasses and ear plugs. And can even squeeze in the handgun on the top expanding pocket.

May have to take it to the local and have a nylon version made to hold the liner.

I'm not sure I understand... What is wrong with mags bouncing around? Were you looking for something low-pro?

The MCX Camp Lejeune had a grand opening event a few weeks back and companies had displays and setups. I got an Alienware drawstring bag for free that holds 25 full mags with out ripping. I've been lugging them around in that.

Not my picture or bedspread:

The M4s Blowhard had some Pmag carrier thread a while back. Held about 10-12 mags if I remember right.

I kinda like the lunchbox though. Drops the "steal it" factor down quite a bit.

I don't know what you were looking to spend but U.S. Grunt Gear makes a bag specifically designed to hold 10 AR mags.

I'm now confused by this thread. For $1 you can buy the reusable nylon Wal-Mart shopping bag that will easily hold 30 mags. Why are lunch pails and $60 coyote purses needed to accomplish mag transportation to the range. And bouncing around? Which causes? I don't want to come off as closed minded just trying to understand.

So this $1 Wal-Mart bag is durable enough to carry 30 loaded P-Mags without tearing up? That seems like a lot of weight to put in a bag that cheap and not expect to be picking my mags up off the ground at some point.

Shipping weight for 1000 55gr 5.56 is 27lbs. The reusable bags have a capacity of 20-25 lbs. add in mags. And maybe you need 2 of them for $2 dollars. As opposed to carrying 3x$5 lunch boxes or $180 dollars of Indiana jones satchels. I'm not saying this is perfect. Or am I saying these should be used in a time of governmental collapse to transport your full combat load. But to and from them range I'm all about it. I use the free drawstring bag and have no problems. Just trying to share ideas.

And to add I have no problem with the lunch box for taking only 10 mags out. It's clever and as stated inconspicuous.
