View Full Version : Pressure switch light alternative?

Is there any quality alternative to a Surefire for a weapons light with a remote pressure switch? I run M952s right now, but the weight is really noticeable. The Scouts are everything that I want in a light but $350-$425 is just more than I can justify for my useage.

Is there a small quality light that I can fit into an aftermarket mount and use an M600 pressure pad off of the EE on? I'm looking for considerable savings, or else I would just go with the sure thing. I am basically looking for the ??? to the Surefire Scout, as the TLR1 is to the X300.

I have seen all of the good threads about Surefire alternatives, but none of them really focus on pressure switch compatability. I also know the drawbacks of a PS but still really like them. I just wanted to see if I was missing anything before I upgrade my 952s to LEDs.

Thanks,

This may or may not be what you're looking for but the M3X long gun version is similar to an X300 form factor and I beleive it can use one of insight's tape switches. I can't determine if it acually comes with the switch or not but it's either $260 or $280 MSRP depending on which mount you get.

I've used the Army issue version of this light and it's held up well. The tape switches in general are the achilles heal but I'm not sure if Surefire's would be any better.

I use this light with a Surefire tape switch. They also offer a mini version. These are a somewhat cheaper alternative to scout lights.

I use it with one of Impact Weapons Component's mounts.

Looks like Elzetta has one out:
