Guys,

Like the title says, I'm looking for a 124 grain 9mm load for a WWII era Browing Hi Power. I'm looking for a standard, non plus p load with a Berrys 124 grain plated round nose bullet.

Thanks

Any particular powder you are interested in. All the powders have manuals available for a wide range of bullets. Any starting load for the same weight in a jacketed bullet should be fine for a starting load.

FWIW, I like Accurate arms powder as well as Winchester 231.

ETA: I just checked the Accurate Arms on line manual and they list loads for that particular bullet in several of their powders. AA5 has been a proven performer for me.

5.0gr WSF with a 124gr RN.

I use 4.5gr of Win 231 and Berrys 124gr Round nose.
Just makes minor power factor, definitely not +P.

Speed:

4.1 grains of Titegroup 1.140" OAL, runs 1,100 fps from a G17
4.3 grains of N320 1.140" OAL, runs 1,050 fps from a G17

Accuracy:

4.8 grains N340, 1.140" OAL, runs 1,100 fps from a G17
5.8 grains of Power Pistol, 1.140" OAL, runs 1,120 fps from a G17

I crimp to around .375 - .376" as these loads are for jacketed bullets, but for plated, I'd try .377 or .378".
