The included 30mm extra high ring will mount the VMX3 at the same height as a red dot scope mounted for an absolute co-witness with the standard-height iron sights on an AR-15.
The Swing Mount for VMX3 Magnifier from Vortex allows a shooter to transit from 1x to 3x in one quick motion. The Swing Mount easily attaches to the gun's rail and the VMX3 Magnifier is inserted into the mount. Once installed, a specialized cam on the Swing Mount allows the magnifier to be swung and locked in place behind a red dot sight. The quick-detach design allows fast addition or removal of the system from the rail with ease and without tools.
