I'm beginning to assemble a fair number of P-Mags most all of them are black. I'm wondering how y'all go about marking your mags?

I use a black Sharpie on my FDE PMAGS and put my initials on each one along with an ever increasing number. In your case, try the silver Sharpie.

I'll post pictures later as an example, however, I use a paint pen on mine. I do it on all my mags, regardless if they're GI or PMags or anything else.

I have a zero on each mag to denote that it's mine, then I have a number on the mag to denote which one it is. I have about 12 30 round PMags right now, and they're numbered 1-12. My GI mags are the same and are numbered 1-10. When a mag fails, it get's tossed. I don't need to rebuild mags for as cheap as mags are these days.

Some guys denote what the mag will be used for, writing 'HD' for home defense and 'T' for Training or some other marking mechanic, along with a number so that they can tell one mag from another in that specific set.

paint marker.

initials and a number on both sides. If a mag is found to be defective, I take it out of rotation and do not replace the number: if #8 sucks, the new magazine to replace is marked as #37 (or whatever the next number in the sequence is).

- Paint Pen
- Stencil/Spray Paint
- Colored Tape

How much trouble do you want to go to, and how much do you care about the aesthetic? The paint pen/Sharpie is the easiest and fastest. If you want a little cleaner look then the stencils and spray paint may be the ticket.

A Sharpie brand paint marker works well for me. I use my initials, and a number to identify the mags.

Silver paint pen on the black mags black paint pens on the colored ones, with a number. Ill put my first and last initials as well for the mags I take to training classes since everyone else numbers their mags too.

This is the way to do it.

I just use a sharpie on my PMags. I should get a paint pen for the metal mags.
