I'm considering one of these for my SHTF carbine that will see range/tac-school work as well. Anyone have any thoughts to share?

......And how would you compare this to the LaRue IronDot's for the same duty. I'm looking for light weight, very good battery life, and fast on-target times in a small package.

I would definately go with LaRue over GG&G for mounts, but that's just me.

The T-1 is better than MRDs, but is different than the iron-dots.

The T-1/LaRue combo is a winner.

absolutely go with the Larue over the GGG.

Larue has package prices on their website.

Have either of you guys had problems with the GG&G product that would make you go to LaRue as the first choice? Other than the major difference between the two being the locking method, is there something wrong with the GG&G?

I have the GG&G AccuCam on my EOTech for a couple years now and it has never failed or lost zero. I realize Mark LaRue is a great Industry supporter, and his product is top notch, but the GG&G has the flip caps and detail in their design that looks appealing to me.

Or is it a personal preference thing? I'm leaning GG&G but would go LaRue if the reasons are more than "Ford vs Chevy".

Thanks fopr the replies BTW. :)

Are you guys looking at what he posted? He's looking at an Aimpoint T-1 in a GG&G mount versus a Dr. Optic on a LT riser.

It's not just brand of mounts he's asking for FYI. You may be commenting on the mounts only and if you were, excuse me. :)
