I'm floating the idea around about getting my M&P45 or 9c engraved with my unit patch as a commemoration of this Afghan tour I am currently on. Can anyone recommend a engraver that does good graphics?

You might want to contact S&W.

Seems an issue type pistol would be the way to go as a commemoration ? But then you may not like the issue pistol.

The unit is doing a Kimber Custom II and a AR from some no name manufacturer. The Kimber will go for about 975 with engraving and a wooden box. Not much of a deal for the Kimber and I purchased a M&P 9c that I will pick up when I return. I figured it would be easier to engrave a pistol that I like and will use. Ironically most units don't opt for the M9 or 92FS. I guess after carrying one for a year or longer we want nothing to do with them. The fact that the M9 has no rail doesn't help.

Here are two more.

They will want a high resolution .jpg and the design has to be clean enough to reduce for a M&P because the slide is the only available for engraving.

Good luck, stay safe.
