Form 1 CLEO signature time frame

Is there any time limit on how long the signature of a CLEO on a Form 1 is good for? I.e. if I get my CLEO to sign my form this week, but I dont end up submitting it for 2-3 months, is that acceptable? Or should I just wait till I am ready to submit the form to the ATF?

I called the NFA branch one time about this, and they said they would prefer it to be a year or less between signature and the time you send it in.

The reason I called is I had a lower that I was doing an SBR on a Form 1 and I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted to go through with it. My forms and fingerprint cards sat around for about a year before I made up my mind.

You are fine with 2 or 3 months.
