I was hoping they would be <$100 to make it the ECONOMICAL no-brainer, but the MSRP is not far from the other BUIS options...

Troy mSRP at 140.00
MI's at 105.00

That looks like a large difference to me.

I have their copy of the GG&G flip-up A2 sight and it works fine.

Is this another copy of someone else's design, or something orginal?

More like $120 based on what BCM posted on TOS. The model that's listed at $105 on the MI site (ERS) has a street price of mid $90's. But that's the larger form model. The slim-line model includes a same-plane aperture which is driving the cost up. Still a tad cheaper than a Troy, but it's up there.

Will this fit under the rear bell of a Leupold MR/T 1.5-5 on an SPR-E?

Troy mSRP at 140.00
MI's at 105.00 Actually, it is $120...

That looks like a large difference to me.

Another $20 to get a Troy? I know which way I would go...

What?

Come on Midwest. Give me a break.

Either they are trying to prove Troy overcharges for their sight or, if they aren't, MI is manufacturing a sub-par clone. It's either or. Looks the same to me.

The only difference I see is a shallower slope on the front side of the clamp and a different "knob" if you can even call it that.

I think they are just trying make sales to the guys that just don't want to shell out Troy prices.

If the sight is as good as the original with a much cheaper price tag then more power to them.

Troy-inspired, for sure. Not a bad thing if they've made improvement on it, but I'm not seeing it.

The windage knob is a big downer for me. It's begging for adjustment, intentional and otherwise.

That's a plus for some. I have A2 adjustment knobs on both of my BUIS's. Not to say they never get knocked out of alignment (mine don't though) but I have witness marks to be sure they're at the correct spot. I do like the lower profile of the knob, making it easier to get a two finger hold on the CH, but at this point, I'd rather get the new PRI BUIS coming out.

The locking button on it looks just like the one on their ERS. I had one fall apart one week before carbine class. Literally fell off the rifle, with half the little parts lost in the grass.

Went with a Larue BUIS and did not look back. Since I only use 1X optical sights, I have no need for folding sights and see no drawback to fixed ones.

That rear sight is a huge improvement. I wish it was out a year ago.

Over what? Their other rear sights?
